Waterproof laminate floor Dumafloor®

  • What is Dumafloor®? Why is it better than traditional laminate floors?
    • 100% WATERPROOF - Dumafloor® is a 100% waterproof laminate flooring that effortlessly withstands extreme humidity. It is made from vinyl resins, and it is the only genuine looking laminate flooring that, in comparison to other alleged “water-resistant” laminate floors, is capable of coping with extreme humidity. Since we do not use any wood in the production of our flooring, we can guarantee a certified 0% swelling of our board. Just think of your toothbrush… Does that swell under the effect of water?
    • EXTRA STRONG - The board is extremely hard and has a tremendous solidity that withstands the damages caused by a falling object better than most of the traditional laminate floors (certified IC3 impact strength).
    • LESS DAMAGE - Dumafloor® is also much less susceptible to damage to its click system during installation or transport.
    • SUPERB SOUND ISOLATION - The uniqucombination of core material and surface of the board provides a far better sound isolation value than with most of the traditional laminate floors. There is a 38% reduction of the reflection sound, when Dumafloor® is used in combination with Dumafloor® underlayment.
    • ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY – The environment has always been of major concern to Dumaplast. Unlike traditional laminate flooring, our product does not contain formaldehyde or solvents. Our product is 100% recyclable.

  • What kind of material is used for the board?
  • The core material is made out of a composite material (vinyl resins). Since we do not use any wood and only synthetics, Dumafloor® is completely impervious to and unaffected by water.

^ top ^
  • Does Dumafloor® expand and contract because of temperature differences?
  • Yes. We recommend leaving a gap of minimum 10mm between the Dumafloor® board and the wall. Please read the full installation instructions in the download section for more information on this topic.

  • Is the product hard-wearing? How is the foil protected?
  • The foil is applied to the core material with hot-melt glue and impregnated with an acrylic resin for better protection. This unique surface layer guarantees an AC4 hard-wearing quality. Our waterproof laminate flooring complies therefore with the most demanding abrasion standards on the market, and it can be applied for heavy domestic use and general commercial use.

  • Is it easy to install?
  • Yes. Dumafloor® is a so-called “floating” floor. Simply click and tap the boards together during installation with its 4-sided glueless CLICK system. Since the CLICK system is identical at both the side and the head of the board, Dumafloor® can be installed in fishbone motives (the boards are laid perpendicular to one another). The CLICK system is also a one-tooth clicking system: when you install your first row of Dumafloor, you do not need to cut off a side tooth. Full installation instructions can be found on the back of the label in each pack of Dumafloor.

Full installation instructions can be found in the installation section.

  • Where can Dumafloor® be installed?
  • Obviously Dumafloor® can be installed in all regular residential areas around the house where you would also install traditional laminate flooring, like bedrooms, living rooms, hobby rooms, etc. However, where regular laminate flooring stops, we continue! Since Dumafloor® is absolutely 100% waterproof and hard-wearing, it can also be installed in bathrooms, kitchens, basements, laundry rooms, etc. Typical commercial applications would be fitness areas, hotel rooms, showrooms, seaside bars, sanatoria, shopping areas,... • Do I need specific tools for installation of this flooring?
  • No. You do not need any specific tools for our flooring. Just use the ordinary tools for installation of laminate flooring: (electric) saw, hammer, tapping block, etc.

^ top ^
  • Should I use any (specific) underlayment when installing the panels?
  • Yes. Dumafloor® should be used together with an underlayment. The reason for this is two-way: Underlayment provides a smooth surface which prevents uneven floors, and secondly it also gives a better sound reduction. For full coverage by our guarantee, and for optimal sound reduction, Dumafloor® should be used with our specific Dumafloor® underlayment.
